Good Afternoon All,
Some of you maybe aware of the Re-activate project that runs across the entire county, others might not be but it is a great opportunity to increase the awareness of tennis in Buckinghamshire.
Re-activate is a project which looks to use ‘give it a go’ weeks to kick start participation with a free activity session followed by a block of activity. This could be through the running of get back into sessions, Cardio Tennis Sessions or Touch Tennis sessions to name a few. The key is to look for an activity that would appeal to the non-traditional tennis player to get them involved in the game and therefore your programmes.
The Reactivate project has a great deal of marketing behind it which is admistered by Bucks Sport, having targeted e-mail campaigns and extensive written publicity in the build up to and after an activity. (Example attached from Vale Life) - Which again will bring the sport to a wide range of potential participants.
The next ‘Give it a Go’ week is scheduled for 11th – 17th June and Abbi McMullen from Bucks Sport would love to give it a tennis theme, by running a number of tennis activities across the county. The attached form can be used to get some assistance from Bucks Sport to run activities as part of this project.
If you are interested in getting involved in the re-activate project then please contact Abbi McMullen at Bucks Sport on [email protected] or call 01296-585340 for more details. I am also keen to discuss any ideas you might have. Many ThanksDavid Reeve
