Our first event of the year, a 'round robin' mixed tournament, with mulled wine and mince pies, started the year off in a fun way.

CARDIO TENNIS
Cardio Tennis is a series of tennis-based drills and activities played to up-tempo music on a tennis court. It does not require tennis skills, but is all about keeping your heart rate up, burning calories and having fun. Whether the ball goes in or out is irrelevant as the main purpose is to get fit.
Day: Saturday
Time: 10:00-11:00am
Cost: £3 Members, £6 Non-Members per session
Start Date: Saturday 4th May
Finish Date: Saturday 15th June
NB: There is no lesson on Saturday 1st June due to half term.
Cardio Tennis includes a warm-up, cardio work out, and cool down phases. If you are looking for a great new way to get in shape and to burn calories, why not try Cardio Tennis?
There are drills for absolute beginners through to advanced players, all of which provide you with a great cardio work out while improving skill. Cardio Tennis can be more fun than working out in a gym or other forms of exercise.

17/12: Head Coach AppointmentAfter a long selection process, we are please to announce the appointment of Stephen Wright as our new Head Coach.

Also find here some pictures of the selection group and the committee members who dropped in to say hello and welcome to Stephen. 22/10: Parent/Junior Tournament1.30 - 4.30 followed by BBQ [weather permiting] and drinks in the bar. Open to all ages and anyone who is a tennis member of FCSC. These events are very popular and everyone has fun. Entry fee of £5.00 per player to cover the cost of balls and prizes.
11/09: Mixed Championship8 pairs today again. Sue and Alex are the winners. See some pictures of the event.
10/09: Men's Doubles Tournament8 pairs took place in this exiting event. Bob and John won the tournament. See the pictures of the event.
POSTPONED: Ladies Doubles finalThe Ladies Doubles final was going to take place on Sunday October 30th at 1.30pm but one of the players got injured before the match. It will therefore be re-scheduled at a later date. Players are@ Elaine Hilton and Margaret Southerden v Heather Keogh and Rosemary Badman.

07/07: Mixed Doubles TournamentThe Midweek tournament and meal was a great success with 16 players. The winners were Sue Chapman and David Barrell.
17/06: FC Winter League Presentation
Friday night (17th June) was the presentation evening for the Farnham Common Winter League. One the picture is: Krysia Edwards who runs the league, Margaret Bultitude the Tennis Secretary, our guest John Parry (ex Wimbledon umpire with 8 Wimbledon finals behind him who this year is "The voice of Wimbledon" giving out the public announcements) and Nicholas Martin from High Wycombe with their trophy for winning the league.
